This Cancellation Policy applies to orders placed with Buddy's Deal through buddysdeal.lk. Because we aim to process and dispatch orders quickly, customers should contact us as soon as possible if they need to cancel or change an order.
Important: An order may generally be cancelled only before it has been dispatched or handed to a delivery provider. Sending a cancellation request does not guarantee cancellation until Buddy's Deal confirms it.
1. How to Request a Cancellation
Contact us immediately by email, telephone or WhatsApp and provide:
your name;
order number;
telephone number or email used for the order; and
the item(s) you wish to cancel.
2. Cancellation Before Dispatch
If we receive and confirm your request before the order has been packed for final dispatch or handed to the delivery provider, we will normally cancel the order without a cancellation charge.
If online payment has already been completed, an approved refund will normally be initiated to the original payment method. Bank and payment-provider processing times may apply.
3. Orders Already Dispatched
Once an order has been dispatched or handed to the delivery provider, it may no longer be possible to cancel it as an order cancellation. After delivery, any eligible return or exchange will be handled under our Refund & Return Policy.
4. Changes to an Order
If you need to change a size, colour, quantity, delivery address or another order detail, contact us immediately. We will try to accommodate the change before dispatch, but changes are subject to stock availability and order-processing status.
5. Cancellation by Buddy's Deal
Buddy's Deal may cancel an order where reasonably necessary, including where:
the product is unavailable or out of stock;
there is an obvious pricing, product-description or technical error;
payment has not been successfully completed or cannot be verified;
we reasonably suspect fraud, misuse or an unauthorised transaction;
delivery cannot reasonably be completed using the details provided; or
fulfilling the order would breach applicable law or regulatory requirements.
If Buddy's Deal cancels an order after receiving payment, we will arrange an appropriate refund of the amount paid for the cancelled item(s), subject to the payment provider's processing time.
6. Refund Timing for Cancelled Paid Orders
Refund timing depends on when the refund is processed and the customer's bank/payment provider. PayHere states that some delayed refunds can take approximately 5–10 days to be reflected to the customer after processing.
7. Promotional, Custom or Special Orders
Some personalised, customised, specially altered or clearly marked final-sale items may not be cancellable once production, alteration or fulfilment has started. Any such restriction should be clearly stated before purchase and remains subject to rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
